Steampunk Essentials
The following list was compiled from suggestions by members of the Steampunk Forum. It is intended to provide a list of the written and visual materials that the members considered inspiring, amusing or representative of the Victorian Romantic Adventure, or early science fiction. The list also includes are growing number of newer materials that have the look and feel of Steampunk material. We hope these books and films will provide an insight into the genre, and those of us who appreciate it. We welcome suggestions and intend to update this listing periodically.
For ease of access, we have provided links to free e-book versions of the reading materials, where available. We have also provided ISBN references for materials that are currently published in paper form and are not available for download, except for the cases of graphic materials, continuing series and some speciality books.
